Streaming live sports from iPhone
Last weekend I tried to stream a match from my iPhone to the living room TV because everyone suddenly decided to watch it together. The problem is, our TV isn’t the newest, and halfway through the first half the feed kept freezing every time someone else in the house opened TikTok or started a download. Kind of ruined the moment. I’m curious if anyone here has managed to cast live sports smoothly — did it keep up, or did the delays make it unwatchable?

I’ve dealt with that during UFC nights with friends — the Wi-Fi gets absolutely hammered when everyone shows up. What helped me was using an iPhone screen sharing app that handles fast-moving video better than the default options. It still hiccups if the connection is overloaded, but overall it keeps up, even during rapid plays. I also learned to switch the router to the 5GHz band on busy nights, otherwise the match turns into a slideshow.
