My Journey (1)

Updated: Dec 11, 2021

Ever since COVID-19 hit in my freshman year, I have discovered the true complexity of mental health in myself and others. Through the abrupt isolation caused by quarantine and online school, I quickly grew all too familiar with feeling a loss of motivation, a loss of interest in the things I used to love, as well as levels of stress and anxiety I had never felt before. As I struggled to feel validated in my experiences, I found great comfort in the concept of spirituality, in that we each possess a divine connection with the universe, which helped me realize that it is essentially up to us in how we decide to harness this power to define the energy of our entire existence. I realized that I had the power to change my narrative simply by grounding myself and seeing life through a mindful perspective.

Although it’s still a journey, I’m so grateful to finally be in a better place than I was just a few months ago, and I owe it all to being able to appreciate all that life offers through acts of mindfulness and meditation, as well as educating myself on the scientific reasoning that validates my struggles (and yours too).

I know that so many of us are fighting these silent battles, in fear of our struggles being an inconvenience to the people around us. I know that so many of us have felt alone and have no hope of seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Going through my own rollercoaster of ups and downs has made it so important to me to help you all in any way I can, in realizing that it’s all in YOUR power for things to get better. Use this as a safe space to share your own story!
